OPENING

PRAYER

Cubmaster should get the pack’s attention and quiet the audience.

  • “A Scout is Reverend.”
  • “Hats Off.” Pause to give the audience time to remove hats
  • Say opening prayer

FLAG CEREMONY

Color guard in two rows. US flag in front on right, SC flag in front on left. BSA in back on left. Pack flag in back on right.

  • “Color guard, attention. Will the audience please rise.” Pause to give the audience time to stand up.
  • “Those in uniform Scout salute. Those not in uniform place your right hand over your heart.”
  • “Color guard, advance.” Color guard walks to the front of the room.
  • “Color guard, halt.” When color guard is at the front of the room.
  • “Color guard, post the colors.” Color guards place the US flag in the middle stand on left and salute the American flag.
  • “Color guard, post the flag of the great state of South Carolina.” Color guards place the State flag in the middle stand on right.
  • “Color guard, post the flag of the Wold Scouting Organization.” Color guards place the BSA flag on left of US flag.
  • “Color guard, post the flag of the Mighty Pack 505, Hooah!” Color guards place the Pack flag to the right of State flag.
  • “Please join me in the Pledge of Allegiance.” Everyone except the color guard says the Pledge.
  • “Two.” Everyone drops their salute.
  • “Color guard, reform.” Color guard gathers in the same 2 by 2 when they presented.
  • “Color guard, advance.” Color guard walks away.
  • “Color guard, halt.” When color guard at back of room.
  • “Color guard, dismissed. Audience please be seated.” Color guard goes back to their seats.

  • “Color guard, reform.” Color guard gathers in the same 2 by 2 when they presented. US flag in front on right, SC flag in front on left. World Scouting Organization in back on left. Pack flag in back on right.
  • “Color guard, advance.” Color guard walks away.
  • “Color guard, halt.” When color guard at back of room.
  • “Color guard, dismissed. Audience please be seated.” Color guard puts away the flags.
